Biography

Linda S. Wallace is a management consultant/speaker who specializes in cross-cultural communication and social marketing to diverse communities. She is a veteran facilitator with the experience to frame and deliver high-impact messages, training and outreach programs that strongly resonate with multicultural audiences.

From 2004-07, she led a coalition of housing counselors, mortgage companies, and public officials seeking to reduce sheriff’s sales in Philadelphia. Sheriff’s sales declined by 22 percent the following year.

She also has created skills-based cultural competency training for educators, journalists, police, executives and military officers, giving them modern tools to transform cultural insights into business and social intelligence.

More recently, she collaborated on a Houston-based pilot that seeks to develop safer spaces for online groups and communities to share differences and enjoy richer dialogues.

Her Bellaire,TX-based firm, Linda S. Wallace Communications, has a diverse clientele, including the U.S. Navy, the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, Hearst Newspapers, the Office of the Philadelphia Sheriff, Community College of Philadelphia and the Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia.

Her column, The Cultural Coach, was published for three years in a series of major newspapers. Today, she continues that public service on her blog, Cultural IQ, which offers practical tips for avoiding cultural mishaps and collisions. “In her gentle manner, she reaches into the core of our beliefs and helps us remove our blinders,” says Marilyn H. Cohen, Director of Education and Chief Operating Officer for the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia. “I’ve watched her use genuinely heartfelt compassion to make the toughest man enjoy melting, and her finely-tuned insight to help the weakest-seeming person find a proud voice. It doesn’t get any better.”
